After a last minute call from the good people at the “Venue Theatre” in Ratoath county Meath, I found myself making my waty to play a support solt to Mary Coughlan and her band last Saturday evening.  It was great to see a well supported gig in light of the financial down turn in recent times.

My set began about 8 o clock to a warm frendly crowd.  They listened and relaxed me very quickly.  I could have stayed on stage for the duration of the night, I really enjoyed the expieriance.  I sang,

Endearing Child,

True love,

When she’s sleepin’

In your eyes,

Mrs Mosley,

News for you.

Anyone who was there will agree that Mary and her 5 piece band were on top form and sounding great.  She was in the middle of  telling me that her nerves were on edge when her intro started and she was on stage, no sign of any nerves at all.  The night was going smoothly and the strains of Mary Coughlan and the band were ringing in my ears as I set off for another gig in “The VIllage Inn, Slane”.  Off to another job that I’m greatful for.  Thanks to Morris, Enda, Nick, Mary and the band.
