1- Photo shoot

Saturday 11 September at 11am in the foyer of Solstice Arts Centre, Navan.
We wish to gather all professional Meath artists for a striking photograph which will be sent to all newspapers around the county. Please bring one object to represent your art form (paint-brush, music sheets, instrument, script, camera, etc). This should take no longer than 20 min of your time and would give a very concrete representation of the importance of the arts in Meath… our strength in numbers!

2- Arts Survey

In the next few weeks, a few delegates will meet with our TDs to ensure that the Arts are on the local and national agendas, as they are a vital part of our contemporary Irish life. To illustrate this, we want to present a document listing all professional artists in Meath and their activities.  Please send your information of what you do within the arts include a picture too to the email address above and include your voice to the campaign. Please!

3- Event

Friday 17 September from 3pm to 4.30pm in Solstice Arts Centre, Navan. Music and live arts for all. If you wish to help contact us or just turn up and show your support.

After much fumbling about and making many mistakes with the mechanics of running a website I called in the big guns and changed the Gallery page from Jalbum to a FLICKr.  This is much more user friendly for me.  Have a look at the page here to see some great pictures please feel free to leave a comment too.  If you have a picture of Gerry you would like to share please send it to info@gerrytully.com and we’ll make sure it’s posted.  There are pictures from Photographers and from friends too, which I love to receive, although they might not be the best quality they are still worth putting on for others to view.

Sunday the first of August in “Ryans of Gormalough” Stackallen is the venue for a day of live music from acts from all over the county.  Gerry will be there to offer his support playing from 5.30 ’til 6 ish. Why not take a trip out to thid gig and spend an afternoon listening to the music.  It’s for a great cause.

      Gerry will make his way back to “The Motor Bar Trim” for a slot with Johnny on decks and Gerry at the mic as part of Johnnys World Tour, promoting his new album “How Much For The Monkey”

H i all,

Some new stuff happening in the week to come. Firstly I’ve been in the studio with Johnny Pluse putting together some tracks and helping with the production of his album cover. The album is called “How Much For The Monkey” you can read the press release HERE  Johnny’s album will be on world wide release on the 14th of June 2010.  There will be a launch party to be announced.  IN the meantime if you want to catch Johnnny and myself come along to “The Twisted Pepper” on the 21st of May to celebrate “Breakdown Records”
